The Carl Robert Eckelmann Transport and Logistics Company offers waterside transport logistics, meeting the demands for speed, cost efficiency, safety/security and environmental compatibility. As part of the forwarding service the company provides complete solutions as well as freightage, storage and transportation all under one roof. It is a considerable advantage for our customers to have logistics solutions all from one single provider. The service portfolio includes not only waterside transportation on the Upper and Lower Elbe and the German inland waterway network. We also take on time-sensitive, seamless handling and on-carriage land-side to the customer's premises.

Container
The ContainerTaxi is very flexible, transporting containers and flat racks around the Port of Hamburg and the Lower Elbe round the clock. The ContainerTaxi can replace up to 60 truck tours. Over-weight and/or over-sized containers and flat racks are no problem for the ContainerTaxi. This also applies to transporting containers with dangerous goods or moving at night or on Sundays and public holidays. More information: www.containertaxi.de

Bulk goods and general cargo
Dry goods and general cargo such as animal feeds (in GMP certified barges and lighters), rice, corn, coffee, cocoa, copper concentrate and steel products are all transported. Waterway routes are ideal for transporting heavy and project cargo. Another important segment is special transportation of soil contaminated with chemicals and acids, as well as transporting vegetable oils and paraffin in modern tanker vessels.

Warehousing
For storage of fruit juice concentrates, low percentage alcohol and vegetable oils, the company runs a stainless steel tank farm in the Port of Hamburg.
